Tormales
Belgian Craft Beer Packaging

2025
The discovery of an ancient regional brewing recipe, dating back to 1015 AD, on a piece of parchment by a group of friends in Tormales, the oldest known name of Dormaal in Belgium, led to the recreation of an age-old beer named after the town itself.
For Tormales, JTG was tasked with developing a premium packaging system that honours the brand’s Belgian brewing heritage while giving it a stronger, more distinctive shelf presence. Rooted in a story of friendship, patience and the age-old art of brewing, the design balances historical character with contemporary craft appeal through refined typography, crest detailing, atmospheric colour palettes and a clear range structure across Tripel, Donker and the soon-to-launch Fruit Beer.
Every design choice was made with intention. The soft pinks, muted purples, deep blacks and rich product photography create a visual world that feels elegant, layered and memorable, while the label hierarchy helps each beer communicate its own flavour profile without losing the Tormales family feel. More than a label design project, this was a strategic packaging system created to turn heritage into desire, giving the brand a premium presence across every touchpoint.
